FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
Safe Harbor Counseling is primarily a private-pay practice, which means clients pay directly for their sessions.
I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee appointments. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to learn more about this option.
If you have insurance with out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill upon request. This is a document you can submit to your insurance company to request possible reimbursement.
Reimbursement depends on your insurance policy. I recommend contacting your insurance company to learn more about your out-of-network benefits.
I also accept a few select insurance plans. Please reach out to ask whether I accept your plan.
Is therapy online?
Yes! All sessions are held virtually through a secure telehealth platform.
I provide online counseling to clients located in Texas, Virginia, and Maryland.
What if I've never been to therapy before?
That's completely okay!
You don't need to know exactly what to say or have a clear plan for what you want to work on.
During our first meeting, we'll talk about what brought you to counseling, get to know each other a little, and begin discussing what you hope to get out of therapy.
How often will we meet?
That depends on your needs and goals. Many clients begin with weekly sessions, but we'll work together to determine a schedule that's appropriate for you.
